Eyes Tell All: How We Think Hard during Tests, Explained!

Discovering how hard our brains work during tests is super important for making tests better. We looked at how much our eyes widen (called pupil dilation) when we think hard during a vocabulary test. We found that when the words were tricky, our eyes got bigger to show we were trying hard. But interestingly, even when the words were a bit easier, our eyes still worked harder than usual. This tells us that our eyes can tell when our brains are really working, helping us understand tests better and maybe even make them easier for everyone!
